Thanks for taking the time to learn a little more about me! My name is Mrs. Ferris and this is my 13th year teaching at Holt.
I graduated from Fowlerville High School in 2001 and headed off to college to get a B.S. in Biology and Health Education from Grand Valley State University. In 2011 I went down to Mississippi State University and completed my masters in Biology. I live in Williamston with my husband, our son -Emmett, daughter - Ainsley, son- Crew and our dog -Buck.
In my spare time I like to grade papers…….just kidding I do have a life outside of school work! Although teaching is my passion, I also enjoy playing volleyball, mountain biking, skiing, camping, canoeing, photography, and singing karaoke. I also love living in Michigan and love all 4 seasons we get to experience here.
Since teaching at Holt, I have coached volleyball and softball with some of my very good friends: Ms. Klecha, Ms. Sweitzer, and Ms. Reichard. Even though I'm not currently coaching I continue to support holt athletics - Go Rams!
When it comes to teaching, I feel I really do have the best job in the world and I am blessed everyday to have it. :-D
